You can't switch off, seeing only the worries, problems and cloudy perspective dragging more and more into tiredness??
The word relax is a PRESSURE in itself!
There are ways in which we can relax..but what is "relaxing"?
Letting yourself do exactly what you want?
Well really if we can become aware of our intentions and thoughts behind what we are about to do, being relaxed becomes less about what we do and more about empowering the ability to BE.
So before you watch TV, go for a walk or see friends
- Notice "why" you are doing something, the intention behind it
- Do you feel positive about it?
- If it's not worthwhile, choose something more satisfying
- Begin to notice how you breathe before and after, faster, slower?...whether higher of lower in the torso?
This is a great start to moving forward in your day, your week and your life in "how" you really relax.
